This sounds like an exciting opportunity. What is the cost to participate?

The University of Minnesota Foundation will host our guests for all events, lodging, and meals. We ask that participants provide their own transportation to Minnesota—if attending from out of state—as well as transportation to the Graduate Hotel

I’m only able to make it to a portion of the activities. Am I still able to participate?

In order for you to make the most of this awe-inspiring experience, we ask that you please join us for the entirety of Friday’s and Saturday’s activities.

What’s the attire for the weekend of events?

  • Comfortable attire with supportive walking shoes are recommended for Friday’s daytime activities (see Agenda).
  • For Friday evening’s dinner at Spoon and Stable restaurant in Minneapolis, business casual attire is recommended.
  • Saturday is gameday! Dress in your best maroon and gold as you cheer the Golden Gophers on to a victory!

Is parking available for the weekend?

Yes. If you choose to drive to the Graduate Hotel, complimentary parking will be available for event attendees.

What airport should I use when booking my flight?

The Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) airport is the closest airport to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus.

Are all meals provided as part of the Immersive MED weekend of events?

Yes, the University of Minnesota Foundation will be providing all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) as part of the weekend of events, with the exception of dinner on Saturday, October 5. Guests should feel free to make plans for dinner following the Gopher football game.

Do I need to pay for lodging or is that provided?

Lodging will be provided for event attendees at the Graduate Hotel. Event attendees will be asked to provide a credit card upon check-in to cover any additional expenses, including but not limited to room service, bar costs, concierge requests, and incurred damages. A hold will be placed on your card. Provided you do not have any room charges or damages, the incidental hold will be released within 5-7 business days from the date of checkout or longer at the discretion of your card issuer.

How do I register to attend?

Visit rsvp.umn.edu/ImmersiveMED to register to attend.

Are pets allowed?

Given the robust schedule of events, it is not recommended that guests bring their pets with them to the Immersive MED weekend.
